Things to do
If you’re at a loose end and/or in need of sustenance before the main event, we would highly recommend popping into Grainger Market for a mix of street food (SnackWallah is great) and more traditional market stalls. And of course, beer! There are more than a few fantastic options across Newcastle, but some of our favourites in the town centre are By The River Brew Co (also great food), Wobbly Duck and The Town Mouse.
Accomodation
Newcastle has as many options as you’d expect – we’ve stayed in Sleeperz Hotel a few times and it’s a good bet, similarly Motel One Newcastle – if you fancy a treat, Jesmond Dene House comes highly recommended. All are very handy for the town centre, train and of course Wylam!
